Lola Frost

As Vancouver’s Rock’N’Roll Flapper, Lola Frost is best known for combining her anachronistic styles of vintage and modern – a true 1920’s starlet with a kiss of Ramones grit. Her pieces are a sensorial experience to behold; an elegant blend of dance, theater and fervent striptease. “She has incredible stage presence, plus a visceral physicality that demands to be watched and admired” – Tigger!

Performer, teacher and mentor, Lola is co-director of the Vancouver Burlesque Centre and integral member of Sweet Soul Burlesque. She has been internationally recognized at Teaseo-Ramma and the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, where she was awarded “Sexy, Sultry, Sizzlin’ Striptease” (2009) and “Most Dazzling Dancer” (2013). She has, with great honor, competed at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in the categories of Best Debut (2010), Best Duo (2012 & 2013), Best Troupe (2010), and in 2013 won 2nd runner up in the category of reigning Queen of Burlesque – Miss Exotic World.

A published and noted writer she has been featured on the 21st Century Burlesque Magazine site and in the Berlesker: Handcrafted Literary Journal along with keeping her own blog with a steadily growing following. She is proud to be a RED Burlesque Lipstick signature shade girl and to have been voted #22 in the top 50 of Burlesque by Burlesque Magazine in 2012.

Cherry OnTop

Cherry OnTop has been performing as a burlesque artist in Vancouver since 2003 and is one of the founders of Sweet Soul Burlesque, the acclaimed West Coast troupe. She has rocked stages from Whitehorse to Acapulco, Toronto to Phoenix, and always brings the heat.
Known for her energy and dance moves, Cherry OnTop will kick you in the teeth while simultaneously kissing you on the lips. With a love for the beauty of classic burlesque, she is most inspired by hip hop and world music and is able to bridge the gap between classic and neo-burlesque with a wink and a smile.
Cherry has been featured performing on Showtime’s "The L Word" and has appeared on Fashion TV, CITY TV, and MTV. She has also graced the cover of Vancouver’s Georgia Straight entertainment magazine and was honoured to be chosen to compete for "Best Debut" at the 2010 Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and "Best Duo" along with Lola Frost in 2012.
As one of the original co-producers of The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival and co-owner of the former underground palace DollHouse Studios, Cherry is extremely excited about her current project - The Vancouver Burlesque Centre - and happy to be working with one of her favourite performers in the city, Lola Frost.
You can catch Cherry OnTop @ The Keefer Bar's Sweet Sip Thursdays, Sweet Soul Burlesque's weekly show.

 Ariel Helvetica

Ariel Helvetica has been stamping her unique font all over the Vancouver Burlesque scene since her October 2011 solo debut. A born and raised dancer, Ariel spent 5 years abroad, wowing audiences in France as a professional Can-Can/Showgirl, and then criss-crossing the globe and criss-crossing her long legs as a professional high-kicker on cruise ships, visiting 45 countries along the way. Growing up and training to be a “serious” dancer, Ms. Helvetica’s natural talent and drive took her far into the realm of traditional dance and ballet. But her love of performing, musicals, show tunes and, above all else, dancing to the beat of her own drum, hinted she would eventually leave those constricting toe shoes behind for bigger - and higher -  kicks. Sure enough, Ariel’s raw sense of creativity and passion soon pulled her towards the hot red lights of burlesque, where she finally gave in to temptation, biting the apple of this delightful art form. Ariel is a proud member of Pandora & the Locksmiths- a dynamic collective of professional singers, dancers, striptease artists and musicians.  You can also find this kinky kicker working her magic across local stages in her city at the Orchid Club, Go Go Bungalow at the Shameful Tiki Room, Nightmare Before Nutcracker and many, many more!   Ariel has performed at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, Southwest Burlesque Showcase in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Edmonton Burlesque Festival, the International Stockholm Burlesque Festival and world renowned New Orleans Burlesque Festival where she competed for the coveted title of Queen of Burlesque in 2015.  In 2016 Ariel also headed south to sin city to compete for Miss Viva Las Vegas and to Detroit to perform at the Worlds Greatest Masquerade on Earth- Theatre Bizarre.   In 2017 Ariel won "Best Costume" at the Texas Burlesque Festival for her now signature performance of her can can act "Cloud 9 Showgirl."Ms. Helvetica loves teaching at the Vancouver Burlesque Centre and has also brought her Can Can expertise to BurlyCon Burlesque Arts Convention in Seattle, Washington.

Veronica Vex

She is a kind and gentle soul with a fierce and provocative presence on stage. Veronica has been in the performing arts for 13 years. She began her ‘dramatic stage career’ in 2001 training as an actor at The Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts. She then opened herself to training in dance as another form of artistic expression leading her to explore the art of burlesque. She is an accredited latin dancer having performed as part of a salsa dance team in 2008 and teaches the booty shaking, high energy dance progressive workshop Reggaetonat the VBC. She is a producer, writer and choreographer having co-produced and co-written the burlesque play “Stages of Sin’ in 2011 and in 2012 was appointed assistant choreographer for Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society’s full length burlesque play ‘Oliver Fannie’ where she was also cast as ‘chorus’ bringing her comedic characters to life.
Veronica has performed all over Vancouver as an independent performer and is an active member of Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society. She won first place in the 2012 Vancouver Stripsearch competition landing her a spot to compete in Toronto internationally.
Veronica is founder, co-producer and member of the sinfully deadly babes The Lost Girls burlesque having successfully integrated a unique and raw style production to the Vancouver burlesque scene. You can see these vamps at The Fox Cabaret performing their monthly ritual ‘Fatal-a-tease’. When she is not producing or performing or teaching you can find her dedicated to her work in massage therapy, metaphysical therapy and the Tarot.

Jungle Kat

Whether she's serving fierce and raw, comedic and cute, or a whimsical snippet of her imagination, Jungle Kat has lapped up audiences all over Western Canada for four salacious years. With a background in theatre and dance traceable back to her days of kittenhood, this ferocious feline is on a mission to prove that every curve on her body's got a story to tell.

Chastity Twist

Chastity Twist was first introduced to burlesque in 2012 through The Fabulous Miss Rosie Bills’ “Learn to Love Your Jiggly Bitts” classes in Victoria, B.C. She holds certificates in Royal Academy of Dance ballet and has a wealth of training in a variety of dance forms.
Chastity currently performs across Vancouver and particularly enjoys Showgirling, comedic drag, and dance based burlesque stripteases.
Her first paid piece of choreography was a chair dance to “All That Jazz” for a high school class. She was told it was great, but maybe the legs shouldn’t be spread so wide.
Not paying much attention to that bit of advice, Chastity went on to perform in the Calgary and Edmonton International Burlesque Festivals, and performed, choreographed and headed the educational workshops for the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival.
Chastity was Director of Choreography for Moorage Kingdom’s Sailor Moon inspired internet sensation, “Hello Sailors,” that hit over a million views.
She’s also a member of the award winning Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society, and helped take home the Burlesque Hall of Fame's "Most Comedic" and "Best Large Group” awards in 2016.
Chastity works with her students in a way that is kind, encouraging and fun loving, while getting specific about ways to improve; giving personalized breakdowns and pointers, deeply believing in each person’s unique ability to shine.
